In order to process your orders, we need to process your details and we have a clearly justified interest in doing so. By registering on our website, you have entered into a commercial agreement, in which you have indicated your willingness to provide your personal details as they will be required in order to process your orders, and (if selected) your interest in receiving commercial e-mails.

If permission is legally required, for example for certain commercial emails or cookies, we will ask for it. If
your permission is not granted, we will not process your information.

Additionally, your data is processed according to statutory permission standards, such as tax periods and the
validation, exercise and defence of legal claims.

Your recipients or categories of recipients

A responsible authority, Maya Worldtrading, will only have access to your data to the extent necessary to accomplish the internal division of tasks. Only the departments and employees who actually need access to your data have access to it internally.

As order processors, we have enabled service providers to access and process your data for specific purposes. These providers are limited to shipping companies.

If legally required, we may share your information with government agencies or courts.

Receivers of international data transmissions may no longer be in a European country with adequate privacy and data protection regulations like the EU has. In this case, Maya Worldtrading will use service providers that are certified under the US – EU Privacy Shield Programme (Art. 45, para. 1 AVG), or employ the EU Standard Contract Provisions which have been approved by the EU Commission (Art. 46, para. 2 (c) or (d) AVG).

Your personal information will be stored for a period of time

This includes any form of contract (pre-contractual juridical relationship) as long as you are a registered customer.

We are also subject to various storage and documentation obligations and to federal budgetary regulations.

The maximum retention period for storage and documentation is 10 years after the end of the contractual or pre-contractual relationship.

Local regulations, for instance, require the storage of all digital invoices for a minimum of 10 years, but prescription periods of 30 years are also available.
Whenever the data is no longer required to fulfill contractual or legal obligations, they are regularly deleted, unless their (temporary) processing is necessary to fulfill the above mentioned purposes for the client’s decisive legal interest.

You will need to re-register to place a new order after 2 (two) years of inactivity on your customer account.

Data protection rights
You can invoke your data privacy rights in certain circumstances:

You can withdraw your consent at any time if you have given permission for a particular processing activity.
The withdrawal of consent will not affect the legality of any processing that took place before it was withdrawn or if a different legal basis was used to justify the processing.

Right to information: You have the right to know what personal information we store about you. 
If the information we store about you is inaccurate or irrelevant, you have the right to request that it be corrected by us.

If you wish, we will remove your data (according to art. 17 AVG), unless another legal regulation (for example: legal storage requirements) or a predominant interest on our part (for example: to defend our rights and claims) prohibits us from doing so.

You have the right to limit the processing of your data based on the conditions of article 18 (AVG).

The right to object: In accordance with article 21 of the AVG, you have the right to object to the processing of your details. This entitlement exists for reasons that are specific to particular situations and applicable only when data processing is legally based on an assessment of interests pertaining to profiling or direct-marketing purposes. If this situation arises, we will cease processing your information, unless we can provide evidence that there are legal grounds for us to deny your objection. We do not practise direct marketing, which includes profiling, and it is not a requirement of ours; therefore we will not process any of your data for these purposes.

Any time we decide to change this, you must give your permission for direct advertising or you will no longer receive it.

In accordance with article 20 (AVG), you can also request the transfer of your data to yourself or third parties in a structured, current and digital format.
In addition, you have the right to file a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 of the AVG). To resolve your request as quickly and in a customer-focused manner, we always recommend that you file a complaint with our data protection officer as soon as possible.
