The beginners set for burning aromatic herbs and incenses on charcoal. This set includes a roll of charcoal tablets, a small ceramic bowl, and a small spoon.

How to use it:
Place the ceramic bowl on a heat proof surface. Place the included granite chips on the bottom of the bowl (this will disperse the heat from the charcoal). Take one charcoal tablet from the package (reclose package well, and store dry) and light it on one end, with a lighter. As soon as it starts to sparkle, place it in the bowl. Allow it to fully burn off the sparks, wave away the initial smoke, and wait for the coal to start glowing. Then it is ready to place herbs or resins on the glowing tablet, using the included spoon. The best results are achieved when the incense herb or resin is finely powdered. Especially incense resins spread their aroma much better when first powdered in a mortar and pestle and then sprinkled on the glowing charcoal. The initial wave of aroma can be intense. Use the included spoon to manage the incense material on the charcoal surface. Wave the fumes around the person or object using a feather, or walk through the space with the bowl. Make sure to carry the bowl on a heatproof dish, as it will become very hot.

After a few uses, ashes from the charcoal wil accumulate in the bowl. To clean it, allow the ashes to cool off, then hold the bowl under running water and wash the bowl and the granite chips, and allow them to dry before reuse.
