Shamantra Sacred World Music Project has been founded by Kailash Kokopelli in 2011 in collaboration with devotional song and Mantra singer Satyadev Barman from Kolkata. Later multi-instrumenatlist Txai Fernando Salum from Brazil, percussionist and Shakuhachi player Joseph Pepe Danza from Uruguay and finally pianist and co-producer Dhwani from Germany joined the ever unfolding Project. SHAMANTRA is a unique fusion of world music embracing jazz, lounge, folk, and ethnic flavors from all around the world.
Kailash Kokopelli’s study of indigenous cultures made him an ambassador and cross-cultural translator of the native spirit in this uplifting music. 3 decades of adventurous journeys around the globe allowed him to collect unique pearls of song, magical chants and sound medicine which is crafted into an alchemy of sacred world music together with Oilios musician and co-producer Dhwani W. Zapp.
Unheard-of “Shamantras” carried on wings of Sacred World Music embracing ethnic flavors from around the globe. An enchanting fusion of magical formulas, star codes and healing sound invocations to expand our awareness into our planetarian citizenship celebrated through meditative and dynamic World Music ranging from easy listening, via soundscapes for inner journeys to very danceable trance-inducing rhythms. Deep Forest meets Sacred Spirit meets Mantra meets a softer Afro Celtic Sound System. The album has been recorded worldwide and includes amazing artists from Indonesia, Namibia, Morocco, South America, Kazakhstan, India, Scandinavia and the rest of Europe.

Satyadev comes from Kolkata, India. Brought up in an environment steeped in devotion, worship and tradition, he brings with him the pure sound of Bhakti in the form of soulful bhajans, mantra chants and the beautiful, insightful devotional music of the Bauls – the sufi mystics of Bengal. A devotee of Krishna, Satya carries in his heart a deep understanding of the vedic and yogic traditions and the essence and power of ancient mantras.

Kailash Kokopelli is a medicine person, world musician and producer of Sacred World Music.The world wide wandering wizard of sacred soundscapes and multi-instrumentalist on ancient instruments will be sharing healing prayers on Native American Flute, Medicine Chants and devotional Heart-Songs on the incredible Strings of his Worldstick – a unique instrument created in accordance to the golden means spiral and 432HZ healing frequency.

Txai Fernando is a Brazilian multi instrumentalist & producer of enchanted world music, with a vast musical influence. He is weaving his traditional folk music of the Violeiros with tribal world beat via classical music to the sacred indigenous chants. Txai Fernando been touring in Europe for 7 years with many amazing world music projects and traditional Indios & medicine people of the Amazon.

Pepe Danza masters the japanese shakuhachi flute like a true samurai who wins all battle in stillness from this humble ground his unique sound is born -a prayer beyond words grooves like one hand clapping when he moves waves of sound, rhythm and people through his fiery heartbeat of afro latin percussion bridging the worlds through song and dance his ancestral bloodlines weave global cross-cultural heritage through his african, and south amerioan roots awakening the medicine of the drum calling to dance our prayers closer to the heart of sacred mother Earth.
