More about Peruvian Tarapoto Chaliponga
Chaliponga is a green shrub native to the Amazon basin and present in the shamanic customs of native groups, especially as an ingredient used in the making of a poly-herbal brew known as Ayahuasca.
Diplopterys specimens are rich in DMT, known to produce intense yet brief visual hallucinations. For that very reason, it is used in shamanic rituals to help connect with spirits and ancestors, as well as widening the mind’s eye and evoking clearer visions.
The Chaliponga leaves used in the making of this product come directly from Tarapoto grounds, and like all other products offered by Maya, are ethically harvested amidst sustainable plantation sites.
