More About Sage Extracts Caapi TPA
Caapi, also known as Banisteriopsis caapi, holds a special significance as a vine native to the Amazon region. Its entheogenic properties are highlighted by common names such as ‘vine of the soul,’ ‘the umbilical cord,’ and ‘the mother.’ For centuries, spiritual and religious ceremonies have utilized this to gain insight into oneself, understand the causes of one’s suffering, and find clarity in navigating life’s challenging questions. Our Caapi extract is full spectrum containing all the natural alkaloids present in the plant and works great for micro dosing.
Although Caapi is a vital ingredient in the revered Ayahuasca brew used in religious rituals, its mode of action is often disregarded. While Caapi itself does not possess hallucinogenic properties, it becomes orally active when used in combination with plants such as P. viridis, which contain hallucinogenic components. Caapi is a reversible MAO inhibiter which is believed to influence the serotonin levels when micro-dosed.
Caapi TPA Ingredients
Our product is a 20% alcohol extract of Banisteriopsis caapi, containing no other additives or processing aids. Please note that we only offer the purified extract of the Caapi vine, not the leaves. This extract is primarily composed of harmala alkaloids, namely harmine, harmaline, and tetrahydroharmine, which are the main active components found in this particular part of the B. caapi plant.
Recommended Dosage
As a dietary supplement, Caapi can be consumed in the recommended dosage of 1 to 3 drops up to three times a day. This can be done by placing the drops under the tongue or by adding them to a glass of water. It is advised not to use this supplement for extended periods of time due to its potent nature. Even a few drops of Caapi extract can produce noticeable effects, highlighting the need for caution when using this product.
WARNING
Caapi acts as a natural monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) and therefore should not be used in combination with other anti-depressants (including other MAOIs and SSRIs), tricyclics, MDMA, meperidine, tramadol, dextromethorphan, anxyolitics (anti-anxiety drugs), blood pressure reducers, medication for ADHD, epinephrine, cold medicines, and other substances that can lead to side effects when taken with a MAOI like Caapi. Also avoid dietary supplements that contain compounds that can interact with Caapi, such as St. John’s wort, Syrian rue, tyramine, tryptophan, tobacco, animal liver, fermented substances such as alcoholic beverages, aged cheeses, coffee, chocolate, etc. Consult your doctor before taking it if you are in doubt about whether Caapi may negatively interact with other substances you are consuming.
