More about 30:1 Solid Caapi Resin Extract
Our 30:1 solid resin extract is made from wild and sustainably harvested Caupuri vine in the southern part of the state Amazonas. Caupuri is definitely one of the strongest Caapi varieties from Brazil. The vine is easily recognisable by its large knots and is locally called “The General”. 30 kilos of fresh-harvested vines were used to produce 1 kilo of this caapi paste.
Caapi Paste
5 grams of this resin equals 150 gram extracted fresh vine. This product contains only the Banisteriopsis vine and no other plants. It is a water based extract, the vine is boiled as when making Ayahuasca tea only without the leaves. After the tea has been prepared and concentrated it is slowly reduced in a a controlled environment till it gets to the correct concentration and consistency. It is a slow and patient process that takes time and attention. The vine was sustainably wild harvested. Our partners replant multiple vines for every vine that gets extracted.
Banisteriopsis Caapi
Banisteriopsis Caapi is a plant native to the Amazon rainforest. Included in its bark are beta-carbolines and MAOIs, which can be extracted and purified into a concentrated extract known as caupuri. For centuries, this medicinal herb has been used by indigenous people in religious and shamanic ceremonies. In South America, it is known as Brazilian Caupuri Vine and is taken to induce a state of spiritual contemplation and introspection. Typically, the plant is integrated with other psychoactive substances such as Psychotra Viridis or Diplopterys Cabrerana for ceremonial use.
