More about Sacred Incense Breu Amarelo
Breu Amarelo (Protium heptaphyllum) is an aromatic resin sustainably wild harvested from the Almecega tree in the Brazilian Amazon, and considered sacred to the indigenous people. It was collected in the Brazilian state of Roraima, way up in the Amazon close to the border with Venezuela and the legendary Mount Roraima. Mount Roraima is considered the place in earth with the cleanest fresh water.
This yellow resin has been used in Brazil for centuries in ceremonies and healing rituals to ward off evil spirits. The Indigenous people also use it for for physical problems and to create good energy around the house or maloca. It smoke is similar to a light Copal in its fragrance, it relaxes the mind and encourages a space for receptivity and reflection.
