More about Sacred Plants Kirkii
Finely powdered Kirkii (Synaptolepis kirkii) root, ethically wild harvested in Natal, South Africa. It is also know as Uvuma-Omhlope. It is a multi-branched shrub from Africa with large tuberous roots, bluish-green leaves and tubular whitish flowers enclosing orange fruits. Some cultures use Uvuma-Omhlopeto to treat snake bite and epilepsy. Finely powdered it has a fluffy texture.
Uvuma-Omhlope is known as a Zulu dream herb. In South African shamanism there are a few dream plants from the variety indigenous nations. They say it helps to see the reality of difficult situations in daily life and as such help to heal the mind. The Zulu shamans say it helps with visions when in trance.
