Fair Trade Guayusa leaves. The harvesting community is located in Archidona, Napo province, and belongs to the Quichua tribe. Their Guayusa is grown and harvested using only traditional methods, ensuring sustainability and preservation of nature, knowledge and culture. Harvested April 2020.



Ilex guayusa is from the Aquifoliaceae (Holly family), in a family of over 450, which are widely distributed in both hemispheres. Most grow in tropical Central and South America. Ilex guayusa is one of the very few Holly trees to be cultivated for its caffeine content.
